The guys were hard at work last week digging large Bloodgood Japanese Maples out of one of our bark beds. After digging, they containerized them in large 100 gallon fabric pots. These fabric pots have a nice wide base, which help to keep the trees standing up. More importantly, the fabric pots help to keep the roots cool and discourage circling roots, resulting in a better tree when planted. Here's a couple sneak peeks at the process:
All of our 'Natchez' and 'Muskogee' Crape Myrtles are in full bloom right now and other varieties will be busting buds very soon. We have sizes ranging from 3 gal to 45 gal.
All of our Gardenias are bud and bloom now. Walking by the Gardenia beds is so heavenly to the senses! Not only do they look beautiful, but they smell great too. The Crown Jewel Gardenia is a newer variety that exhibits improved cold hardiness. Mature size is two feet tall by five feet wide. Grown in full or partial sun, the Crown Jewel Gardenia is a great addition beside porches, patios, walkways, and under windows.
